The line moved after I picked. Which one counts?

The one your pool froze. Lines lock at 2 PM ET on Wednesday and never move again, so a pick is graded against the number that was on the board when the week locked, whatever Vegas does afterwards. Your pool’s rules page states this too.

Can anyone see my picks before the game?

No. Not other players, not your commissioner, not us in any screen. A pick becomes visible to your pool when its own game kicks off, and not before — that is enforced in the database, not just hidden in the app.

I paid. Why does it still say I owe?

Because your commissioner has not ticked it yet. We never handle the money — the entry fee is a note they wrote and marking somebody paid is them saying so about a payment that happened somewhere else. Nudge them; there is nothing we can do from this side.

Nothing arrives by email.

• Check your account page. If it says not verified, open the confirmation mail we sent when you signed up.
• Check the switch on that page — “Email me when picks are open”.
• Look in spam once. Pool mail is the kind filters dislike.

I missed a game. Can it be fixed?

Not after kickoff, and not by your commissioner either. That is deliberate: a pool where late picks are possible is a pool where somebody always suspects one happened. Anything a commissioner does change after a lock is written into the pool chat automatically.

How many games do I pick?

Whatever your commissioner set — every game, or a fixed number like five. In the playoffs, when fewer games remain than the pool asks for, everyone picks them all. Your rules page says which.

Can I have more than one entry?

If your commissioner allows it. Football pools usually allow one; tournament pools often allow many. When you have more than one, a row of tabs appears above your picks to switch between them.

Who wins the week?

Most points. Ties go to whoever guessed closest on the total score of the last game of the week — that is what the tiebreaker box is for, and why it is worth filling in even when you are not in contention.

Is this legal?

We sell software and never touch a cent of anybody’s money. Whether a particular pool is lawful where its members live depends on where they are, and that is the commissioner’s call — our terms say so plainly.
